Unable to cope with online classes, 17 YO student ends life at Bowenpally

Hyderabad: A 17-year-old student allegedly ended his life after he could not cope up with online classes at Bowenpally in Hyderabad on Sunday.

Identified as Yashwanth, the 17-year-old was in the intermediate second year at a college in Marredpally of Secunderabad.

According to Bowenpally police, Yashwanth was hailing from Kamsali Bazar of Bowenpally. Due to the COVID pandemic, he was promoted to an intermediate second year.

The college authorities had decided to start the new academic year with an intention to save the career of the students.

Accordingly, online classes were started a month ago. Yashwanth had been attending the online classes every day. But he was facing trouble in learning online. Unable to cope up with the studies, he slipped into depression.

Yashwanth was wanted to become an advocate. Bowenpally police registered a case and started the investigation.
