UoH alumnus appointed research assistant at UCPH, Denmark
By Newsmeter Network Published on 23 Oct 2020 11:41 AM GMTHyderabad: An alumnus of the University of Hyderabad’s (UoH) school of life sciences has been appointed research assistant at the University of Copenhagen (UCPH) in Denmark. Charu Jain will be working in an area related to Ubiquitin signalling in DNA damage response and genome integrity maintenance.
Ms. Jain is currently pursuing Ph.D. at the Centre for Protein Research at the University of Copenhagen. Earlier, she worked with Prof. Naresh Babu V. Sepuri (SLS, UoH) for her MSc thesis. She is a gold medallist and has won various awards, including the Prof. A.N. Radhakrishnan Memorial Medal, the Jatindra Mohan and Basantilata Medal, Dr. B. Venkata Rama Sastry Memorial Medal, and Pingali Mohan Reddy Medal. She also secured all-India ranks of 58 and 65 in CSIR-JRF in December 2018 and GATE 2019, respectively. She has also qualified the biotechnology eligibility test under DBT-junior research fellowship 2019.
