UoH records highest domestic placement with 4 students bagging 22L per annum

Hyderabad: For the first time in the history of the University of Hyderabad, a total of 154 students have been placed since the end of July. Over 42 companies have visited UoH for campus selections in the placement season of 2019-20.

Students from Computer science, Management, Communication, English and sciences have been placed successfully, while 4 students from MCA and M.Tech. this year have been picked by gaming giant EA Sports with a domestic pay package of Rs 22.80 lakh per annum, the highest in the history of the university.

Two M.Tech (Integrated Circuits Technology) students from UoH have also received international placement offers from Silicon Austria Labs, Austria, at Rs 45 lakh per annum.

Companies like Teradata, One Convergence, TCS Digital, TCS R&D, Deloitte, Acxiom, Dr. Reddy's, Invesco and Vedanta have visited the varsity campus.

Professor Rajeev Wankar, Chairman, Placement Advisory and Advisory Bureau said, "We are happy to see the continuous increase in the number of placements for the students from Humanities and Social sciences with good packages in the past few years, with placements from every school/depart, which is very encouraging."

During 2018-19, a total of 98 students were placed till December 2018 as compared to 154 this year. Overall, more than 340 students were placed last year with annual pay packages ranging from Rs 3.50 lakh to Rs 14 lakh.
