Varun Tej's Valmiki arrives on 20th September

Hyderabad: Mega hero Varun Tej's Valmiki, is one of the most awaited movies of recent times. From 'Gabbar Singh' and 'Mirapakay' fame, Harish Shankar has directed the movie, which is an official remake of a Tamil movie. Titled 'Jigarthanda', this Tamil movie stars Siddharth in the lead role, which is now being played by Varun Tej in its remake, 'Valmiki'.

The latest update from the makers of Valmiki is that the movie is close to post-production formalities. Varun Tej took to Twitter to share his excitement regarding the movie's release date. "Nenu Osthunna!

September 20th na!", the hero tweeted, which translates to "I am coming on September 20th".

Slated for its release on 20th September, Valmiki has a bunch of surprises in the movie. Rangasthalam director, Sukumar is set to appear in a guest role in the movie. It is also rumoured that hero Nithin will surprise audiences with a cameo as well.

Pooja Hegde and Mrinalni Ravi are in the female lead roles, while Atharva appears in a significant role.
