A commemorative ceremony to celebrate three years of Jagananna Vidya Kanuka, a scheme launched by the Andhra Pradesh government to provide free school kits, was held at Adoni in Andhra Pradesh on 5 July. The school kit consists of three pairs of uniforms, a pair of shoes, two pairs of socks, a belt, a school bag, textbooks, notebooks, and workbooks. They are given to students of classes I to X studying in government and aided schools. The CM further said the government has signed an MoU with BYJUs to provide study material for all students of classes IV to X studying in government schools. Also, 4.7 lakh students of class VIII will receive tablets by September 2022, Jagan said and added that steps are being taken to install Smart TVs and digital display boards in each classroom to facilitate digital teaching and learning.
