French commercial aircraft engine manufacturer Safran will set up its biggest manufacturing and repair overhaul (MRO) facility in Hyderabad by 2025. The facility will be set up with an investment of Rs. 1,200 crores and is expected to create about 1,000 high-skilled jobs in the state. Jean Paul Allar, the CEO of Safran Engines, said the new MRO 4.0 centre in Hyderabad will strengthen the firm's global network and enable it to meet the needs of its CFM customers against a backdrop of booming air traffic in India. He also added that the company will benefit from the fast-growing aviation ecosystem and outstanding competencies in Telangana.
