After an intense competition, Vamsi won the silver medal in the ‘Taekwondo Poomsae’ category, defeating two players in four rounds. The 18-year-old was recognised for his impressive performance by the jury in speed, power, and techniques.

Meet 18YO Hyderabad student Viyyapu Sai Vamsi who won Silver at Taekwondo-Indian Cup
Viyyapu Sai Vamsi, a third-year B.Tech student of KL Deemed-to-be University, Hyderabad, won a Silver medal at the prestigious Taekwondo-Indian Cup (Open International Taekwondo Championship) held in Goa recently.
Over 400 participants from five countries and all states of India participated in the event that was supported by the Korean Culture Center and the Youth and Sports Promotion Association of India.
After an intense competition, Vamsi won the silver medal in the 'Taekwondo Poomsae' category, defeating two players in four rounds. The 18-year-old was recognised for his impressive performance by the jury in speed, power, and techniques. In the semi-finals, he won against a participant from Nepal. In the fierce finals, Vamsi competed against another person from India scoring 7.9.
