Social activist Medha Patkar on Friday demanded full rehabilitation of all families displaced in Teegalaguda. She was speaking at the Afzal Nagar Community Hall in Malakpet (one of the shelter homes of the Teegalaguda Basti evictees) after visiting the Teegalaguda Basti and listening to the concerns of the homeless people. Besides she also spoke on several other issues faced by the people in the state. She urged the government to recognise tenant farmers as actual cultivators and include them in the Rythu Bandhu scheme. She also put forward the demands of the farmers' movement, including guaranteed MSP for all crops and the implementation of the High Court order on disaster compensation for crop loss.
