Revamping healthcare: Jagan government to set up 16 new medical colleges; recruit 222 staff

Andhra Pradesh government has decided to revamp healthcare across the State. Principal Secretary to government Muddada Ravi Chandra has issued the order. Under Nadu-Nedu, the program enlists holistic revamping of the healthcare infrastructure including strengthening and upgrading primary and secondary health centers besides existing medical colleges and associated hospitals. The 16 new colleges will come up at Piduguralla, Machilipatnam, Vizianagaram, Anakapalle, Rajahmundry, Amalapuram, Palakollu, Eluru, Bapatla, Markapuram, Madanapally, Penukonda, Nandyala, Adoni, Pulivendula and Paderu.
