'This kind of clothing is not allowed': Puducherry police tell Hyderabad techie

Pranita Sandela was walking around French Colony in Puducherry on Saturday when she was stopped by two policemen for dressing "inappropriately". "This kind of clothing is not allowed," the cops told Pranita, a techie from Hyderabad, who was wearing a knee-length skirt and a bralette.

When the police officers realised that one of Pranitha's friends was recording the whole affair, they immediately left. "Why can't women wear what they like? Who gives police the right to comment on my character based on my attire?" Pranita asked.
