In a bizarre incident, Telangana Home Minister Mahmood Ali received a phone call at midnight from a man inquiring about biryani. The man reportedly called from Old City, Hyderabad sought clarity from the Home Minister regarding how long biryani hotels can stay open. The caller asked about a post on social media that stated that biryani shops can be open till 1 am. He asked the Home Minister if it was true.
