TRSV, MSF launch protests at OU demanding withdrawal of cases against Agnipath protestors
Amidst the BJP's National Executive meeting being held in Hyderabad and hours before Prime Minister Narendra Modi's public address, a slight tension erupted at the Osmania University on Sunday afternoon. Protests were organised by different parties, including Telangana Rashtra Samithi Vidyarthi (TRSV) – the student wing of TRS, and other Dalit Bahujan organisations, including Madiga Students Federation (MSF), against the Centre's Agnipath scheme in front of the OU Arts College.
At TRSV's demonstration, protestors were seen holding placards that read "Go Back Modi." The protestors raised slogans like "Down down Modi," and "Modi go back." They said it was shameful to file cases against Agnipath protestors. Meanwhile, a team of Madiga Reservation Poratta Samithi (MRPS) leaders tried to enter Novotel Hotel and were stopped by the police.
