Warangal Police Commissioner orders compulsory weekly off for staff at police station

Hyderabad : In what seems to be good news for the police personnel in Telangana, Warangal police commissioner ordered that all staff at each police station should be given a regular weekly off. This decision was made during the monthly crime review meeting on Friday.
While there has been much discussion on the issue, this decision is definitely good news for those working in the Warangal commissionerate and if successfully implemented, can inspire other police units in the state also.During the review, commissioner Dr V Ravinder issued orders to start implementing the weekly off system immediately and that officials should ensure that each staff at the police station gets an off every week. He also gave instructions on expediting investigation of cases, controlling crime and keeping check of anti-social elements and trouble makers, especially those involved in bodily offences.
