'CircadiaV': Andhra-origin NRI Siddharth develops AI-powered app that can detect heart diseases in 7 seconds

Amaravati: A 14-year-old Andhra-origin NRI student has developed an AI-powered app that can detect heart diseases in just seven seconds.
Siddharth Nandyala, a native of Andhra Pradesh, met Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and explained to him about the app.
Encouraging Siddharth, Naidu assured him full support from the Andhra Pradesh government. He hailed global Telugu talent for making groundbreaking contributions in various fields, especially healthcare.
What is the App about?
The app was tested on patients at Guntur Government General Hospital(GGH), demonstrating its potential medical applications.
Siddharth holds the title of the worldās youngest AI Certified Professional from both ARM and Oracle. His AI-driven projects are pivotal in tackling challenges across various sectors, especially, the healthcare sector. Among his standout creations are the Fall Detection Band and the Diabetic Retinopathy Grading System.
Siddharthās upcoming project :
His upcoming project is an affordable Prosthetic Arm that uses electroencephalography (EEG) to allow amputees to control their prosthetics with their thoughts. While traditional prosthetic arms cost over $400,000, his design costs only $300.
This innovation is especially significant for children who require new prosthetics as they grow. Siddarth is already making strides in AI, healthcare, and STEM education, with his projects currently being refined at T-Works for commercialization. As a high-school freshman and founder of STEM IT, a platform dedicated to skilling students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, he is on a mission to create the next generation of inventors, problem solvers, and entrepreneurs.
Launched STEM IT:
A year ago, Siddharth launched STEM IT to offer students an experience in electronics, machine learning, and deep learning. His goal is to build a community of young minds poised to revolutionize technology and entrepreneurship.
His father Mahesh, a serial entrepreneur, owns Artificial Intelligence-based startups, while his mother, Srilatha, runs a jewelry business. Hailiing from Anantapur, Mahesh moved to the US in 2010.
Itās his mother who introduced Siddarth to STEM, buying him his first kit at age seven. āMy mom showed me how to code. I soon realized not all kits were cost-efficient, and the ones that were didnāt have the correct material to understand these concepts,ā Siddarth said.
His twin sister Sowmya, 20 minutes older, is also a budding entrepreneur, part of this entrepreneurial-driven family who has always encouraged Siddarthās efforts ā support heās incredibly grateful for.
āMy dad, heās always been helping me, pushing me forward even when there were challenges. He always helped give me motivation to push those boundaries,ā Siddarth said. When not pursuing entrepreneurial interests or learning AI, Siddarth is an avid chess player ranked among the worldās top players for his age.
