Why no case against violator TRS MLA Konappa ?

Hyderabad: Telangana police department is mulling action against the people who violate the self-quarantine protocol and loiter around, putting the lives of masses at risk.

For the last few days, authorities have received several reports about the people, who were supposed to remain in quarantine, violating the protocol and roaming in the city. They include some MLAs and high profile persons.

Sample this TRS MLA from Sirpur Koneru Konappa and his wife Ramadevi violated the home quarantine mandate. Konappa had attended meetings in Kumram Bheem, Asifabad district. On Friday, he attended the wedding of a party leader’s son and even took part in a religious function at a temple.

He was moving freely for at least four days, shaking hands and even posing with people for selfies. Later district administration issued a notice asking him to go back to quarantine.

Likewise, a techie in Warangal, who returned from France, solemnized marriage and threw a bash where close to 1000 guests including several big wigs of the town and VIPs attended. No government agency could take any action because the techie is a close relative of a senior TRS leader and his father is a senior advocate.

Sensing danger, the police department is exploring options to deal with the violators and ensure they do not flout quarantine and law of the land
