Will make a straight Telugu film very soon, says Atlee at Whistle press meet in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Director Atlee kumar whistle bigil, famous for Raja Rani, Their, and Mersal, is all set for the release of Bigil, which is releasing in Telugu as Whistle. The film will be hitting screens on October 25, closer to Diwali.
Starring Thalapathy Vijay and Nayanthara in lead roles, Whistle is a sports action drama. Atlee was in Hyderabad to promote the film, and he said that he is very sure that the film will be loved by Telugu audience also.
He said, āI am always overwhelmed with the love that Telugu audience shower on me and my films. Jr NTR will be the first person to call me every time my film is released. He encourages me to make good films. Telugu film fraternity has always appreciated my movies, and I thank them for it. Also, I thank producer Mahesh S Koneru for always being there for me.ā
The director noted that making a Telugu film has been his dream for some time and that it is going to become a reality very soon. Atlee said he is working on creating a straight Telugu film and that he will be announcing the details very soon. āMy Telugu film is going to be with a lovable actor, and I hope the Telugu audience will also love the combination. Details will be out soon,ā he added.

Talking about Whistleās concept, Atlee said, āWhile the movie is an action drama with sports elements in it, it is not a sports drama. Whistle deals with many sensitive issues faced by women in society. Women should watch the film and take their men with them. Women will relate to each girl on the football team in the film. When I come here for a success meet, I will talk more about each character.ā
He was accompanied by his wife Priya, actor Kathir, and a few girls from the football team in the movie, for the press meet.
