Recruitment notification is scheduled for January 1st every year
Srikakulam: The IITs in the state are set to come up in such a way that the entire nation will be seeking inspiration from them in the near future, said AP chief minister, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The state government will extend all support by providing all the facilities, making them world-class institutions here, assured Mr Reddy.
The Chief Minister Mr Reddy inaugurated the classrooms and hostel buildings at IIT at Etcherla on Friday. Later, Mr Reddy interacted with students and assured them of all the facilities including an incubation centre to enhance their skills.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Reddy further added that “the state government will provide employment opportunities by developing the industrial sector. He also explained that vacant posts in all the government departments will recruit every year. For this, the notification schedule is scheduled for January 1st every year. I have arrived here within 100 days after the swearing-in ceremony as CM.”
Former Chief Minister, late DR YS Rajasekhara Reddy, started IITs to provide quality technical education to rural students, free of cost, and we will support it in all aspects, added Mr Reddy.
“Previous TDP government neglected the IITs. As a result, only 1,500 students are admitted here out of the total 4,000 seats allotted,” Mr Reddy pointed out.
