With 7 back-to-back hits, Ayushmann is definitely the most bankable Bollywood star now
By Bhavana Published on 9 Nov 2019 6:17 AM GMTHyderabad: In the current lot of young and finesse actors of Bollywood, Ayushmann Khurrana is definitely the most bankable one. This isn’t what we think or say, but something that the actor himself has proved. Since the beginning of his career as an actor and musician, he saw a lot of ups and downs. Yet he did not give up and kept trying hard to reach where he is today.
Since 2017, the actor has been bagging nothing but back-to-back blockbuster hits at the box office, giving a strong competition to many other popular and senior actors out there in Bollywood.
While his acting debut film Vicky Donor was a huge hit, the rest of the films he made after it, like Nautanki Sala, Bewakoofiyan and Hawaizaada, which were disasters at the box office. And oh yes, how one can forget a film like Dum Laga Ke Haisha in which he just nailed his performance.
Good times for Ayushmann have started since 2017, with Bareilly Ki Barfi. Then came another hit with Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, Andadhun, Badhaai Ho, Article 15 and Dream Girl. So all these films, back to back, proved to be six hits for the actor.
This is definitely a rare stunt that not every actor in Bollywood could do. In fact, he is choosing some different and new-age stories, which some actors in Bollywood might find them a bit risky to be a part of on the grounds they could spoil their image in the market.
Ayushmann is currently basking in the success of his recent flick Bala, which released on November 7. It has Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam as leading ladies. Bala is garnering good collections at the box office and theatres are houseful and the film been appreciated by celebrities and critics as well.
The actor has Gulabo Sitabo and Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan in his kitty right now and the shootings are in progress.
