Woman jumps into Krishna river, incident caught on CCTV camera

Some local people jumped into the waters and saved her. The incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed at the barrage.
The CCTV footage shows that the woman came to the barrage with her two-year-old son. She left him on the bridge and jumped into the waters on Wednesday morning. The police said that the woman attempted suicide due to family disputes. However, the police failed to disclose the identity of the woman.

It may be recalled that a few days ago, a newly-married woman, K. Hemalatha, tried to kill herself by jumping into the Krishna river near Sanghamam ghat in Ibrahimpatnam, Krishna district. The NDRF personnel rescued Hemalatha and took her to the hospital. Hemalatha, a resident of Mangalagiri, reportedly decided to end her life as she was upset after she was married against her wishes. The police said that Hemalatha was married to a man from Ibrahimpatnam on 13 February. She came to her husbandās house the next day and attempted suicide.
