Andhra techie ends life after breakup with girlfriend in Canada, records video before death

Anantapur: A 29-year-old techie from Andhra Pradesh ended his life in Canada after the relationship with his girlfriend turned sour.

Identified as P Pranay, a native of Kovur Nagar in Anantapur, he was working as a software professional in Cananda.

The family members of Pranay alleged that he took the extreme step after being allegedly cheated on by his girlfriend. Pranay ended his life by breathing nitrogen gas at 2 pm on Saturday.

Moments before the extreme step, Pranay recorded an audio-video clip and also left behind a suicide note in which he alleged that his girlfriend started avoiding him completely after she secured an H1B visa and moved to the USA recently. He also mentioned that they had planned to get married and lead a happy life.

Pranay also alleged that she dumped him and unfriended him on all social media platforms after securing an H1B visa and moving to the USA. Pranay asked his family members to donate his organs as his last wish.

Telugu community in Canada is helping Pranay's family to complete postmortem related formalities and airlift his body back to his native village for final rites. His body is likely to be flown out of Canada on Thursday. Pranay is survived by his parents and an elder sister who lives in the USA.
