Worried about low GATE score, engineering graduate commits suicide

Hyderabad: An engineering graduate committed suicide at Moosarambagh, Hyderabad, for fear of not clearing his GATE exam. According to the police, T. Haresh Bhai, a resident of Gujarat, completed his engineering and was preparing for GATE entrance exam. He had appeared for the exam on 2 February. After the exam, he checked the answer key and found that he had a low score. Since then he had been upset.

Late on Sunday night, when he was alone, Haresh hanged himself from the ceiling fan with a bedsheet. He also left a suicide note with details of his mobile phone lock pattern and laptop password. In the note he asked his family to visit the Ish Yoga foundation center at Coimbatore after completing all the formalities and rituals of his death.

The Malakpet police have registered a case of suspicious death and started an investigation.
