Youngster murdered by close relative over petty family issue in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A youngster was brutally murdered by his close relative and his friends at Chaderghat in Hyderabad late on Saturday night. The accused tailed the victim Rehman in an SUV and attacked him with sharp weapons at Azampura in Chaderghat. At least four persons were involved in the attack, the police suspect. A murder case has been registered.

According to the police, the victim, Abdul Reham, in his early 30s, and the prime accused, Dastagir, are co-brothers. For the past few months, they had been fighting over petty family issues. Police found that they had confronted each other on different occasions in the recent past to sort out the issues but could not reach an understanding.

Consequently, Dastagir hatched a conspiracy to kill Rehman and gathered his friends. On Saturday, when Rehman was returning home on his bike, Dastagir and his friends who were in an SUV followed him, intercepted him and attacked him with sharp weapons and fled from the spot, leaving him in a pool of blood. Passersby noticed and alerted the police.

Rehman was rushed to a private hospital, where he succumbed to injuries in the midnight. Police have reportedly took the accused into custody and are interrogating him.
