139 men rape case: Victim says anchor Pradeep, many others not involved in crime

Hyderabad: In a shocking twist to the rape case that was booked by a 25-year-old woman in Hyderabad on 139 men, the victim in a press conference said, that she was forced to file an FIR against 139 people by a person named Dollar boy alias Rajshekhar Reddy. Anchor Pradeep has nothing to do in this case, she said.

The victim said that she was threatened, beaten and instructed to do as per Dollar boy's instructions to book a case against 139 people. The accused, Dollar boy alias Rajshekhar Reddy, had planned to blackmail the people who are part of the FIR and extort money from them. When the victim told that this might spoil many people's lives, the culprit told her to do as he said, else he would kill her and her family members.

"I am here to say that as per my FIR, 139 members were not involved in the case. Only 40% of the people in the FIR that I had registered are actually involved in the crime. I apologise to all those whose names are in the FIR but not involved in the crime. This is the last time I am coming before the media,ā€ she said.

Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) founder Manda Krishna Madiga, who was present at the press meet, said, ā€œMRPS got involved in the case to know the truth as the girl belongs to the marginalised community. We stood in her support from the beginning but we do not want anyone who had not done wrong to be punished and go through harassment. We shall abide by the law but not misuse it,ā€ he said.

Earlier, anchor Pradeep had posted a video on YouTube saying that targeting an individual just because his name is involved in the FIR was not fair. He said that he was going through mental trauma due to the false allegation and asked who can be held responsible if anything happens to him or his family during the trolling.
