15 new suspected coronavirus cases admitted to hospitals in Telangana

Hyderabad: The total number of Corona virus suspects who are admitted to various hospitals in Telangana increased to 232 as 15 more people were admitted to the hospitals on 6 March.

A man from the Janagam area of Telangana who had travelled to Dubai showed symptoms of COVID-19. He had to be forcefully admitted to the hospital. The integrated disease surveillance program (IDSP) team picked him up and admitted him to Gandhi Hospital.

Meanwhile, in Vijaywada a student admitted herself to the government general hospital. Officials said she was studying in Italy and had returned home in Jaggaiahpet a month ago. She suffered from cough and cold and thought it best to get admitted.

Nodal officer G. Srinivas Rao said, “The government is taking great care. Only one person has tested positive so far in Telangana. We have made a proper action plan to contain the spread of the virus. Chest Hospital is also ready to take suspected Corona virus cases, so people need not worry.”

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has asked people not to take part in mass gatherings and to be careful while celebrating Holi.
