Upset by actor Sushant Singh’s death, woman ends life in Vizag

Visakhapatnam: Heartbroken and upset by the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, a 21-year-old woman from Bihar committed suicide at her parents’ residence at Malkapuram in Vizag city of Andhra Pradesh. She died by suicide in the bathroom. The incident took place on Wednesday (17 June) but it came to light only two days later.

Sumana Kumari was a Hindi teacher at a private school in the industrial area of Sriharipuram in Vizag. According to the police, she had been depressed recently and the actor's death had pushed her to take the extreme step. “The untimely death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput may not be the main reason for her suicide but it could have triggered it. She was fragile and due to her stunted growth, she had been unable to find a suitable match," said the inspector of Malkapuram police station, K. Durga Prasad.

The police said they checked her mobile phone while looking for a motive for her suicide and found that she had watched the actor's movies on YouTube and TikTok. From this, they assumed that this may have pushed her to kill herself.

Many fans of the actor have been upset by his death. A Class X student from Uttar Pradesh, unable to bear the loss of the actor, repeatedly asked his parents if a person could die by hanging himself. He committed suicide by hanging himself. In his suicide note, he wrote, “If he can do it why can’t I.”
