Many might know that he is one of the very few actors who have featured in a CBSE textbook. However, how many of you know that he was a prankster when he was young?
His friend Raj Bahadur, with whom he still shares a close relationship, encouraged him to pursue his passion for becoming an actor. Bahadur asked Rajinikanth to enrol in the Madras Film Institute.
The actor, for the very first time, was noticed in a Kannada play at the Film Institute by director K Balachander. “Learn Tamil” was the only thing the director told Rajini before leaving.
Sometime back, Rajinikanth’s fans started a political party called Desiya Dravadar Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam in 2008 and asked him to enter politics. However, the actor refused, saying that nobody can force him to join politics.
