Boduppal Congress corporator and two friends arrested for kidnap
By Newsmeter Network Published on 14 Sep 2020 3:56 PM GMTHyderabad: The Rachakonda police arrested a corporator from Boduppal municipal corporation at Chaitanyapuri in the city on 14 September in connection with a kidnapping case.
Thotakura Ajay Yadav, along with his friends Manginapally Sai Kumar and Kumbam Chandra Reddy, was accused of kidnapping a youngster over a financial dispute. The trio was produced before the court, said B. Ravi Kumar, the inspector of Chaitanyapuri police station.
According to the police, Ajay Yadav and his friends kidnapped Yara Singh Durga Prasad, a resident of New Haripuri Colony in Kothapet, on the night of 12 September. They took him to an isolated location and assaulted him. However, Prasad managed to escape and went to the police the same night. Based on his complaint, a case under charges of kidnap, assault, and wrongful confinement was registered. The trio had been absconding since then.
The three men were arrested on Monday and produced before a court. Further investigation is underway, said the police.
