Burglar apprehended in Hyd, Rs3L booty recovered
By Newsmeter Network Published on 15 Sep 2020 10:35 AM GMTHyderabad: Rachakonda police apprehended a habitual property offender while he was moving suspiciously at Balapur Shivaji Chowk on Tuesday morning. The police found that 10 cases were registered against him. The police recovered gold ornaments weighing 5 tola, silver ornaments weighing 10 tola, Sony TV and 4 mobile phones, together estimated to cost Rs 3,26,000, from him.
Dontula Mahesh alias Chintu was earlier arrested by the Hyderabad and Cyberabad police in connection with property offences. According to the police, the accused revealed that one Kommani Srinivas formed a gang with five old offenders and that he was one among them. The gang is involved in committing burglaries for easy money.
Srinivas and others are in judicial custody while Srinvasā wife, Kasthuri, is absconding, even when she is also involved in the crimes.
Police also said that the gang members used to consume alcohol heavily before committing the offence. Kasthuri used to do recee of houses in isolated colonies during the day. In the night, the gang used to go the identified house on their vehicles and commit the offence by breaking the lock of the main door.
