Car catches fire, five escape unhurt in Vizag

Visakhapatnam: Five people, including the driver, travelling in a car had a lucky escape when the vehicle caught fire near Gopalapatnam area in Vizag city on Monday.
On noticing the fire from the engine of the vehicle, the driver and occupants immediately got out of the car. A fire tender from the nearby fire station rushed to the spot and doused the flames. However, the car was gutted in the incident.

The police and fire service personnel are suspecting electrical short circuit to be the reason behind the accident.
The driver and occupants escaped unhurt in the incident. Other commuters got panicked witnessing the accident.

The incident took place when the vehicle was heading towards Simhachalam from the airport area.
