CBSE extends deadline for applications from schools seeking affiliation
By Newsmeter Network Published on 26 March 2020 5:10 AM GMTHyderabad: In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to extend the last date of application for schools seeking affiliation from CBSE for the academic session 2020-2021. The board, on Wednesday, issued an official circular extending the date of application for CBSE affiliations.
The statement read, "The board is in receipt of various representations from the schools mentioning problems faced by the school for submission of application for affiliation in a stipulated time period in view of current COVID-19 situation." It said schools can submit applications without any late fee up to 30 April. Earlier, the last date to submit the applications was 31 March.
The board took this decision to ensure that various government advisories and directives to prevent the spread of the virus were implemented.
