Cop, who set himself on fire alleging harassment, succumbs to burns

Narasimha had alleged that he had taken the extreme step as he was being harassed by the then Balapur Inspector P Saidulu. On November 22, he walked into the police station and spoke to his old colleagues. He then climbed atop a nearby water tank, doused himself with petrol and set fire.
Immediately after the incident, Rachakonda Commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat met with the ASI's family and assured them of justice. He also issued orders transferring the inspector and a police constable who were allegedly harassing Narasimha.
It was found that during a wedding at Balapur, when a patrolling team went there following a complaint of loud noise, Narasimha and his son Sai Kumar allegedly misbehaved with the cops. Sai Kumar alleged that they were framed in the incident as the inspector held a grudge against his father.
Narasimha's last video, moments before his death, goes viral
Moments before he breathed his last, the ASI released a video expressing his predicament. The video has been going viral on social media, wherein he says, "I have never done any mistake in my service in any situation. Every time I have received only appreciation from my superiors and I was never distanced from them. But Saidulu sir was taking revenge on me. Not only me, there are at least two others who have suffered from him.
I decided that I should do something that nobody else in the department will suffer like me. He also threatened me of cases against me and my son.
It was my function and I was on leave. I will take alcohol and do whatever I wish. But it is utter injustice to intervene in my personal space and make it an issue.
Since my first posting, I was with officers only.
I have purchased a bike on installments. But recently when I purchased a car in installments, I came under their radar and landed in this situation."
