COVID 19: 50,814 recovered in Telangana, 2012 new cases

Around 50,084 COVID patients have recovered so far. On Tuesday, 1139 patients recovered. The state has 19,568 active COVID cases. The recovery rate in the state is 71.6%, which is higher than the national average of 66.31%.
Thirteen patients succumbed to the virus taking the overall death toll to 576. The fatality rate of Telangana is 0.81% which is lower than the national average of 2.11%.

A total of 21,118 samples were tested, of which reports of 1,167 are awaited.
According to the medical bulletin, 12,938 patients have been placed under home isolation of whom 84 % are asymptomatic.
Bed vacancies:
The state currently has 17,818 vacant beds for COVID patients.
Around 11,619 regular beds, 4,322 oxygen beds, and 1,877 ICU beds are lying vacant.
The total number of ventilators in the state stands at 1,117.
Health minister Eatala Rajendra said over 300 beds will be added to the ICU ward at Gandhi Hospital in a couple of days. He said order has been placed for special ventilators which will be installed in the wards.
āBulk liquid oxygen cylinders have been kept available at Gandhi Hospital, Osmania General Hospital, Chest Hospital, and Niloufer Hospital. These cylinders can suffice for 10 days,ā he said.
