COVID 19: Judicial work in all subordinate courts suspended till Sep 5

Hyderabad: Telangana High Court (HC) has extended the ongoing suspension of judicial and administrative work in all subordinate courts till September 5.

Work will also remain suspended in tribunals, state legal services authority, mediation and arbitration centres, and high court legal services committee, and state judicial academy

The HC has taken the decision after taking into consideration the steep rise in coronavirus cases.

In a notification, Registrar General of the high court said heads of the districts were at liberty to open the courts in a physical manner wherever there is a possibility after consulting the administrative judges and after taking into confidence bar associations, judicial employees by following guidelines mentioned in the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).

He said that the cases which were listed up to September 5 would be automatically adjourned en bloc to a working day after one month. The HC has asked judicial officers to hear civil, criminal and family court matters including the grant of maintenance, through video conference during the suspension period.
