COVID 19: Telangana reports 2,207 new cases, 12 deaths on Thursday

On Thursday, Telangana reported 2,207 cases which is the highest single-day jump. With this, the total COVID cases in the state stand at 75,257.
The data, as released by the Telangana Department of Public Health and Family Welfare, reveals that 12 people succumbed to the infection on taking the overall death toll to 601.
The fatality rate of Telangana is 0.79% which is lower than national average of 2.07%.
Around 53,239 COVID patients have recovered so far. On Thursday 1,136 people recovered.
The state has 21.417 active COVID cases. The recovery rate in the state is 70.7%, which is higher than the national average of 67.62%.
A total of 23,495 samples were tested, which is also highest in a single day. The reports of 1,539 are awaited.
According to the medical bulletin, 14,836 patients have been placed under home isolation, of whom 84 % are asymptomatic.
Bed vacancies:
The state currently has 17,907 vacant beds for COVID patients.
Around 11,581 regular beds, 4,430 oxygen beds, and 1,896 ICU beds are lying vacant.
The total number of ventilators in the state stands at 1,117.
