Hyderabad: Two days after he went missing, the body of 17-year-old B. Nikhil, who died by suicide, was found at Durgam Cheruvu on Friday.
"The boy's father said Nikhil had been moody. He thought that perhaps there was some issue at school. He didn't probe the matter further as Nikhil didn't want to talk about it," said Madhapur inspector P. Ravindra Prasad. A missing person case was registered on 13 April when the father, Sunil Kumar, approached the police with a suicide letter.
Nikhil went to his father's shop on the evening of 13 April. He left his bag there which contained the suicide note. The note said no one was responsible for his death and that he would jump from the Durgam Cheruvu cable bridge.
"The boy also wrote that he found no meaning to live or die," Mr. Ravindra said.
The police confirmed that the boy had not received any mental health care before.
