DRF teams removed a dead body from a sump in Kukatpally using modern equipment
By Newsmeter Network Published on 29 Nov 2019 3:47 AM GMTHyderabad: GHMC’s Disaster Rescue Force (DRF) removed an unidentified body from a sump near IDL Pond in Kukatpally on Thursday evening. The DRF utilised advanced techniques, which were recently added to their arsenal.
The DRF was on duty in Kukatpally, when they rushed to the IDL Pond complex alongside local police. They received information about the incident from their control room on Thursday afternoon.
DRF used Modern Breathing Operators and Chemical Suits, which were recently added to the fleet of DRF teams. Ramchander and Narsing from DRF went inside the sump, wearing a Breathing Set and Chemical Suit. They removed the body under the supervision of SFO Mohammad Shoukat, Goverdhan, and Venkanna along with the Kukatpally Fire Station.
The DRF team wrapped the body in a bag, as it was in bad condition.
DRF has recently assembled state-of-the-art vehicles with unique features for taking up relief and rescue operations more effectively in the city. The modern equipment was used for the first time today, to remove the body from the sump.
Enforcement Director K Vishwajit Compaty congratulated the DRF team who successfully carried out the operation. He also said the staff would be given rewards for the successful operation.
