Hyderabad: Ever since the Supreme Court gave the final judgment in the Ayodhya dispute on November 9, 2019, paving the way for a Ram temple at the town, the entire nation is curious to know how the temple will be built and who will participate in its construction. However, people's immense interest in the temple has also resulted in many bogus claims.

Recently, a photo of Mukesh Ambani meeting with Yogi Adityanath with a flower Bouquet is going viral, claiming that the business tycoon has donated Rs 500 crore rupees to build the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Ambani has also promised to donate an equal amount during the construction, it was claimed.

Fact-Check: Newsmeter did a reverse image search and found that Ambani's picture was obtained from a report that had been published by several news portals in 2017.

According to a report on Hindi news portal Jagran, the Tatas and Ambani had shown interest in investing in UP. Accordingly, Yogi Adityanath met with the industrialists in Mumbai to encourage them to invest in his state.

Jagran apart, the report was also published in Governancenow, The Times of India and a few other websites.

It's clear that the image of Mukesh Ambani meeting with Yogi is an old one, much before the SC gave its ruling on Ayodhya. This also proves beyond doubt that the claims over Ambani's meeting with Yogi and his offer to donate money for the Ram temple in Ayodhya are bogus.

This claim is Partly True.
