An Instagram user also posted the same photos. The caption translates to, "#lovejihad she said her man was different. Hindu sisters there is still time. Stay away from these people. Jai Shree Ram."

Fact Check

This claim is MISLEADING.

NewsMeter performed a reverse image search and found articles about the incident that took place in 2017. The girl in the photos is Reshma Khan and according to The Express Tribune, Khan and her cousin were in their car at a traffic signal in Beckton, London, when an attacker threw acid into their car.

According to Sky News, Reshma Khan, an Indian actress, and her cousin Jameel Mukhtar, were attacked by a man named John Tomlin on 21 June 2017 in Beckton. John was jailed for 16 years after he "admitted intentionally causing the pair grievous bodily harm".

Khan spoke about the incident in a series of tweets and wrote, "Long story short, whilst at the lights, a man threw acid through my window and then went round to his and threw more."

Therefore, the claim that a Hindu girl was attacked with acid by her Muslim lover is MISLEADING.
