Fact Check: Mukesh Ambani endorses investment platform promising ₹12 lakh per month? No, video is AI-generated
Claim:Mukesh Ambani endorses an investment platform called Quantum AI that promises ₹12 lakh returns per month.
Fact:The claim is false. The viral video is generated using Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Hyderabad: A video claiming to show Mukesh Ambani endorsing Quantum AI, an investment platform, is going viral on social media.

The video, shared on Facebook, features journalist Rahul Kanwal speaking about an alleged attack on Mukesh Ambani during a “press conference dedicated to the launch of the national platform Quantum AI.” The next clip shows Ambani with cuts and bruises on his face, speaking about Quantum AI. In the video, Ambani appears to say,

“This state financial platform brings in a minimum of ₹12 lakh per month to everyone who registers and deposits just ₹20,000. The Government of India and SEBI act as the official guarantors of this project. The programme automatically buys and sells stocks and bonds on international markets, generating enormous profits for its participants.”

The clip further claims that a technical glitch has reduced the minimum investment from ₹2 lakh to ₹20,000, presenting it as a limited-time opportunity. It repeatedly urges viewers to act within one hour, creating a sense of urgency and FOMO. The video promises unrealistically high returns of ₹12 lakh per month for those who invest ₹20,000 in the platform.

Fact Check

NewsMeter found that the claim is false. The viral video is generated using Artificial Intelligence (AI)

A keyword search did not yield any information about the launch of Quantum AI or any incident where Mukesh Ambani was attacked during such an event. There are no credible news reports or social media posts about the platform.

We also checked official government sources, including the Central government’s MyScheme portal and the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) website, for any notification regarding such an investment platform. No official announcement was found on either platform.

A close analysis of the viral video revealed several inconsistencies: the lip movements of Kanwal and Ambani do not match the audio, and the speech patterns sound robotic.

Using Hive Moderation, an AI detection tool, we found that the clip showing Kanwal is likely AI-generated. Another tool, Deepware, confirmed that the clip is indeed a deepfake.

We also contacted the Deepfakes Analysis Unit (DAU), an initiative of the Trusted Information Alliance (TIA), regarding the authenticity of the clip featuring Ambani.

DAU’s analysis found that the teeth visible in the Ambani clip look unnatural, blending into an off-white patch. In some frames, the lower teeth all appear to be the same shape, which is not natural.

They further noted that Ambani’s pronunciation of “lakh” is unusually distorted — a common sign of synthetic audio.

Hive’s deepfake detector highlighted several timecodes where the video appears to have been tampered with using AI.

Aurigin AI, a Swiss deep-tech company with an advanced audio deepfake detection engine, also confirmed that the audio track in the Ambani clip is 100% AI-generated.

NewsMeter has previously debunked similar false claims involving Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Google CEO Sundar Pichai allegedly endorsing investment platforms. Those videos were also found to be AI-manipulated.

The viral video is AI-generated. There is no information about an investment platform called Quantum AI being backed by the Government of India or SEBI. NewsMeter concludes that the viral claim is false.
