Hyderabad: An image of a journalist is viral on social media. Users identify him as Ravish Kumar.
The image is going viral along with a photo of Reuters photojournalist Danish Siddiqui, who was recently killed by the Taliban in Afghanistan.

The post further states: "To know what happened with Danish Siddiqui, a journalist who plays with dangers, should be sent to Afghanistan."
Fact Check
The claim is False.
NewsMeter firstly performed a keyword search, which directed us to blooper video posted by NDTV on YouTube in August 2013. The video is a compilation of amusing moments featuring NDTV anchors and reporters in 2006. The viral clip can be seen at 8 seconds into the video.
We then found a video report in the NDTV archive of a suicide attack on a Congress rally in Kashmir in 2006. The report shows Jammu and Kashmir-based journalist Fayaz Bukhari and not Ravish Kumar.
We then compared the viral image with Ravish Kumar's and Bukhari's picture. One can notice the same haircut and face structure in Bukhari's picture and the viral image.
NewsMeter had earlier debunked a similar claim.
It is therefore evident that the viral claim is False. The man in the viral post is not Ravish Kumar. The image is of Jammu and Kashmir reporter Fayaz Bukhari. The post also wrongly relates this with the Reuters photojournalist Danish Siddiqui's death.
