Neither supernatural nor ghostly: Video of cars crashing in air is digital creation

A video of cars crashing in the air is widely being shared on social media.

"Science can't explain this," the caption of the video said.

Some called it ghostly, while others believed it to be a supernatural phenomenon.

Let's see what exactly is happening here.

FACT CHECK

NewsMeter performed a keyword search on Youtube and found the exact video on 'BHG Music World' with the caption, 'GHOST ACCIDENTS REALITY | CAR CRASH'.

In the video, it is explained how the videos are being edited. We looked out for more details and found a strong hint in the description of the YouTube video which reads: 'Footage purporting to show 8 traffic accidents involving invisible ghost cars was the product of creative digital editing by Italian animation/graphics artist DonatoSansone'.

We also found another video explaining the same. In this video, you can see the original footage and the edited ones for better understanding.

Taking the artist's name as a clue, we looked out for DonatoSansone's official page. We found his official page 'Vimeo' on which he uploaded this video titled 'ghoatCRASH' back in 2018. This video was a hit and went viral.

It is evident that the videos of car crashing are not supernatural or ghostly phenomena but a result of amazing editing skills by the Italian animation artist Donato Sansone.

The claim is misleading.
