Fact Check

NewsMeter found the claim to be absolutely false.

We performed a keyword search to find relevant media reporting the ā€˜untimely demise of Nysa Devgan,ā€™ but found no information on mainstream media about her death. It is reasonable to state that news of a Bollywood celebrity would catch most media's notice if it were true.

Moving further, we scanned the social media handle of Nysa Devgan and found that she has been inactive on social media for a long time.

Moreover, we scanned the Instagram handles of Ajay Devgan and Kajol Devgan but could not find any leads that suggested the news to be true.

Notably, Kajolā€™s last post was all about her new web series TheTrial, whereas Ajay Devgan posted an AI-generated image of himself created by his team.

Lastly, digging a little deeper into the Facebook page that shared the news of Nysaā€™s apparent demise, we found out that the page ā€˜Bolly Funā€™ had posted a number of death hoaxes of famous personalities like Angelina Jolie, Lina Jumani and many more in the past as well.

Moreover, it is not the first time that celebrities and famous personalities have become targets of such trolls on social media. NewsMeter had fact-checked a similar video on the demise of actor Tiger Shroff earlier as well.

Hence, Nysa Devgan is still alive and her death posts are just hoaxes.
