Father beats newborn baby to death in Chennai
By Newsmeter Network Published on 31 Oct 2019 10:11 PM ISTChennai: Angered over his wife denying him sexual intercourse, a 27-year-old man allegedly beat his two-and-a-half-month-old daughter to death at their house in KK Nagar in Chennai during the wee hours of Thursday.
The accused M Ellappan had come home drunk on Wednesday late night and got into a fight with his wife, Durga. Police believe that he had asked her for sex, which she denied using the newborn, Rajamatha, as an excuse. Angered over this, he began abusing Durga and father beats baby to death.
āHe allegedly hit the child on her head, and she began bleeding from her nose. After Rajamatha fell unconscious, Durga rushed the child to a government hospital where declared the child succumbed to her injuries,ā said a police officer.
Police added that recently the couple had frequently been arguing for the same reason and Ellappan felt the baby was a hindrance. The latter is a conservancy worker, living with his wife Durga (25) at Dr Ambedkar Colony in KK Nagar. Durga has two children, aged five and four from her previous marriage. She separated from her former husband two years ago due to personal differences and married Ellappan.
The MGR Nagar police registered a case, and Ellappan has been remanded in judicial custody by a magistrate court. The story is all about Father beats baby to death.
