First year intermediate student from Mahabubnagar attempts suicide, cites ragging

Hyderabad: A first-year intermediate student from Pratibha Junior College in Mahabubnagar attempted to end his life. He claimed that the seniors in college were physically ragging him.

The victim, a residential student in the campus, claimed that the seniors were beating him up. He mentioned that he had slipped into depression due to this. While he had taken the issue to the college authorities, the problem went unnoticed.

Returning to his hometown in Thimmajipet Mandal, the victim tried to kill himself.
