Four held for chopping down Haritha Haram trees in Siddipet

Hyderabad: Four persons were arrested in Siddipet district on 11 March for allegedly cutting down Haritha Haram trees. One of the arrested is a Hyderabad-based Ad agency employee.
The municipal authorities had lodged a complaint with the police after it found that around 11 trees in front of the Bhudevi functional hall near Siddipet bus station complex were cut down. The police identified four accused and tracked them down. The four have been identified as K. Jayabharath Reddy, who works for a Hyderabad ad agency, B. Ravinder, K. Shekar, and B. Sandeep. They admitted to cutting down the trees.
The four were arrested and produced before the court which sent them to judicial remand. Further inquiry is underway, said, police officers.
