Groom dies of COVID hours before marriage in Kurnool

A pall of gloom enveloped Kurnool after a 28-year-old-groom died of Covid-19, a few hours before his marriage on Wednesday.
The groom was to tie a knot at Adoni Town in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh on August 5.
On July 28, when the two families were making arrangements for the marriage, the 28-year-old complained of fever and headache. He was shifted to hospital where he tested positive for Covid-19.
Later the groom was shifted to a private hospital in Hyderabad for treatment. However, he breathed his last in the wee hours of Wednesday.
A pall of gloom enveloped the neighborhood after the death of the young groom. The groomās mother is physically challenged, while his father and sister are speech impaired.
It may be recalled that a couple from East Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh had to postpone their marriage at the last moment after the groom tested positive for the Coviod-19.
A few days before the wedding ceremony, the groom along with his family had gone shopping in Rajahmundry town and contracted the virus. He complained of mild fever and headache. He was later tested positive for the virus.
