Sri Vaishnavi Hospital doctor commits suicide in LB Nagar

Karanala Ajay Kumar, Chairman and Managing Director of the hospital allegedly hanged himself inside his chamber at the hospital. He was reportedly being harassed by four people over financial issues.
The super-specialty hospital was founded by Dr Ajay Kumar in 2014 and had been running in a rented multi-storied building on the Nagarjuna Sagar highway at Saraswathi Nagar under LB Nagar police limits.
According to informed sources, he was in financial troubles and was being harassed by some unknown persons for the past few months.
On Tuesday morning, he came to the hospital as usual and went into his chamber. A couple of hours later, the hospital staff found him hanging to the ceiling. When they brought him down and shifted him to the emergency unit, he was already dead. The staff informed the LB Nagar police, who arrived with Clues teams.
Prima-facie, they found Dr Kumarās diary in which he purportedly wrote names of four persons, due to whose harassment, he had taken the extreme step. They include K Shiva Kumar from Yamjal, who is associated with the Congress party, the owner of the hospital building Karuna Reddy, his brother-in-law Kondal Reddy and President of Saraswathi Nagar colony Megha Reddy.
LB Nagar police registered a case and shifted the body for post-mortem. Further investigation is underway, they said.
