Hyderabad commissioner warns strict action against front organizations of Maoists
By Newsmeter Network Published on 11 Oct 2019 7:35 AM GMTHyderabad: Hyderabad city police commissioner Anjani Kumar warned frontal organizations of Maoist not to mislead innocent youth to the path of violence. Frontal Organizations like TVV have a long history of associations with Maoist groups.
During recent search and seizures, many incriminating materials were found, he informed in a release. Many pseudo-intellectuals are also associated with such frontal organizations and they will all be exposed before the Court of law, he added.
Further, the strength of India is in its Democracy and government elected by popular vote.
The comments of the city police chief gained importance, after police, intelligence and special intelligence wings of Telangana police conducted a series of searches at locations belonging to those who have alleged links with Maoist groups and their sympathizers. Two days ago searches were conducted at the residence of TVV state president Maddileti and two of his close associates were arrested. On Thursday also, searches were conducted at the residence of Dr Jagan, a professor working with Osmania University. Inquiries revealed that he was playing an active role in recruiting students for the banned organization and also spreading their ideology. He was detained by the police of Jogulamba Gadwal district. Further inquiries are underway.
