Hyderabad's Subhan Bakery launches 'zabardast' choba-puri for Milad-un-Nabi

While Osmania biscuit remains its USP, in recent years Subhan Bakery has carved a special niche for itself with the crunchy Dum-ke-Roat. Now, this cookie is available around the year and not just during Muharram. Not resting on laurels, it has now added a new delicacy to its long list of products.

Hyderabads Subhan Bakery launches zabardast choba-puri for Milad-un-Nabi

Hyderabad: Hyderabad's well-known confectionery, Subhan Bakery, is making waves with its new product—the delicious and succulent puri. On the occasion of Milad-un-Nabi, the Prophet's birth anniversary, Subhan Bakery has come with a new delicacy in keeping with the tradition. Most Muslim families prepare puris to celebrate Milad-un-Nabi. This time, they have the choice of buying them off the shelf.

"We always believe in meeting the customers' needs and demands and in keeping with this, we have launched the puri," says Syed Irfan of Subhan Bakery.

As usual, the bakery's R&D wing has worked hard to ensure that the choba-puri lives up to the reputation and goodwill the bakery has earned over the years. The response has been on the expected lines. The puris have become an instant hit if the long line of customers rooting for them is any indication.

This time around, the bakery has launched a brief qawwali-type song about the puris and it has gone viral on social media. The song by Atiqur Rahman goes like this:

Deccan mein khushi se ye harja chalegi

Subhan Bakery ki zabardast puri

Jo ek bar khayega khata rahega

Subhan Bakery main wo aata rahega

Nahin milegi jahan mein kaheen bhi

Subhan Bakery ki zabardast puri

The puri, made of maida, has a generous portion of coconut stuffing, ghee, milk, rava, sugar, zafaran, cashew nuts, raisins, and almonds. Subhan Bakery's new offering is attracting customers from far and wide. Hyderabadi NRIs, particularly those from the Gulf countries, are also acquiring it. With just two days left for the Milad-un-Nabi celebrations, the bakery is expecting more footfalls.
