Interior designer abuses Hyderabad cops, get booked

Hyderabad: A 31-year-old interior designer who allegedly assaulted a police sub-inspector was arrested in Vanasthalipuram, Hyderabad, on 22 April.

According to the Vanasthalipuram police, sub-inspector Venkat Reddy and his team were on patrol duty on Tuesday night. While patrolling road number 5 in the Gautami Nagar area, they noticed two people, Chanda Pramod and a friend, playing badminton on the road. The officer told them they should not be outside during the lockdown. He took their names and phone numbers and told them a petty case will be registered against them. He asked them to come to the police station.

When the police team was leaving, Pramod started abusing them and told them he will neither answer their calls not come to the police station. When the officer heard this he asked him to come to the police station. Pramod retaliated and attacked the sub-inspector, injuring him. He was arrested on Wednesday and a case has been registered.

On the same day, Rachakonda police, arrested a man for abusing the police. According to Malkajgiri police, 21 year-old-youngster allegedly abused the cops when they (cops) questioned him on 'not wearing a mask' while he stepped out. The altercation between the man and police took place on April 22nd night. The following day Malkajgiri police arrested Satti Adithya Reddy. The accused is pursuing his engineering at Vellore Institute of Technology- Tamil Nadu. Following the lockdown , the student has come to his home town.

The facts of the case are, on Tuesday night cops deployed on patrolling duty at BJR nagar falling under Malkajgiri police limits, found Satti Adithya Reddy on the road not wearing a mask. When the cops stopped him to inquire, Adithya Reddy questioned cops saying, ' being in uniform, do you think you can stop anyone'. Who gave you the permission?" and abused them. Further when we tried to stop him, they fled the place' cops said.
